The College Basketball Board has turned into crap

Posted on: June 4, 2008 9:05 am

When I first started posting on a normal basis this was the best board to post about sports.  Be it CBB, Football, or MLB.  Within the last year or so it has gone down the crapper.  Vote off threads, political garbage, and personal trash has gotten out of hand.

The People's Poster now spends his time on other boards to pass the time and talk a little trash.  What are some other thoughts on this board?  Am I the only person with these views?

I agree with you, stick. Lots of great sports conversations when I first showed up about two years ago. I probably led to the downfall.

Sconnie, what's the deal with the name change?  You going incognito now?

No.  Back before I made the switch I posted a few times back-to-back with both names to let people know the switch was coming, and keeping the avatar the same was another way to link the two names.

The reason for the change was that I wasn't a big fan of the term Sconnie when I first joined Sportsline.  I chose it because
1.  I wanted my name to reference the Badgers in some way, and
2.  I wanted it to be unique,

and GoSconnie fit both of those.  (note:  I have nothing against the term and like it more now than when I joined)  Komacki has been the nickname I liked the most since the company that made the practice jerseys for football my freshman year misprinted the "rn" in the middle of my name as an "m," so I chose it as the name I was going to use on all the message boards I post on.  That's four right now (six if you include webcomics).  Towards the end of the basketball season I started joining the other ones, so I decided to change on here after the Badgers' season was over ... the fact that the hockey team's season lasted longer was an unexpected twist.

Personally, I wretch every time I see a Jason Wells thread, post, or mention of him.  I've seen him provide the same amount of good posts as cassells.
